Hello, Autumn!

It's officially Autumn!  There is just something about this season that warms my heart.  I love snuggly sweaters, riding boots, and the warm, earthy colors of the season.  Those elements of fall style that I love transfer over into my card making.  I am in love with the new Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The warm rich colors of Rich Razzleberry and Delightful Dijon play off of the cooler tones in the Mint Macaron papers.  It's just so, so gorgeous - you have to see it for yourself.

One of my favorite items from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog is the Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder.  It adds a subtle bit of metallic that gives your cards just that little something special that will make the recipient be really, really impressed.  (Only you and I will know how easy heat embossing is.)

The Acorny Thank You stamp set coordinates with the Acorn Builder punch for easy stamping.  No fussy cutting for us!  Well, I lied.  I did fussy cut the Thankful banner.  That's an easy one for fussy cutting though!  I layered all of the elements on top of each other with dimensionals to really give a more three dimensional look to the card.

Thanks for looking at my card today!  I would love to hear your feedback in the comments section.  Please contact me if you have any questions about how to make this card!

Freshly Made Sketches 198 - Bridal Shower Card

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a card for you that I actually did a stash dive on.  I was trying to use up some of my retired supplies on this card.  I thought the color combo was perfect for a summertime bridal shower.  I used sketch 198 from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog as my inspiration.

Here's the card that I made:

Sadly, this stamp set, Love and Laughter, is no longer available.  I really loved this set.  I was a dummy and got rid of mine, so I had to go and borrow it from my friend!  I loved this Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper!  It's on the clearance rack right now so be sure to stock up!!!

Here is the sketch I used for inspiration.  I love it!   It's so simple, but you can really add to it depending on your personal stamping style.

Here's a close up of the gold emobossed bridal gown.  I love how the gown is formed from all different sized text.

Thanks for checking out my blog today!  I always love to hear from you, so drop me a "hello" in the comments!

Cycle Celebration!

Hi Stampers!

Have you seen the Cycle Celebration stamp set in the 2013-2014 Idea Book and Catalog?  I love this set.  It was on my first order from that catalog.  Here is a masculine birthday card that I created using that stamp set and the Birthday Basics  Designer Series Paper.  I love that the DSP coordinates with the stamp set.  It makes creating beautiful cards super easy!  You may notice that the sentiment in the stamp set is much longer than just Happy Birthday.  Using your Stampin' Write markers allows you to ink up the entire stamp, or just the parts that you want for your project.

I used the pewter embossing powder for the bicycle.  It's my favorite embossing powder out of all the colors Stampin' Up! carries.  It's super versatile!  I then added two Bermuda Bay candy dots to the centers of the wheels to give some added diminution.

Stampin' Supplies:
Card stock: Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Birthday Basics
Stamps: Cycle Celebration
Ink: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Versamark
Other: Finishing Touches Edgelits, Sponge Dauber, Pewter Embossing Powder, Brights Candy Dots, Heat Tool, Paper Snips, Dimensionals
