Freshly Made Sketches 140

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a card to share with you for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog.  The first time I saw this sketch my brain immediately thought of washi tape!  You all know how much I love washi tape - and now that SU is selling washi tape in some awesome three packs, I'm super happy!  I went with a fun, primary color  color scheme for today's card.

Here is the sketch that we were given for this week's challenge.  Isn't it fun?

Here's the card I created based on this sketch.  I love a clean and simple style.  Washi tape is great for adding in some quick and easy embellishing that doesn't add a lot of bulk to you card.  A great way to make mailable cards.

I love washi tape so much, I put it everywhere!  It's awesome for decorating the interiors of cards as well as the envelopes.  Everything is so easily coordinated!

I used the Big Wish stamp set that was from the Occasions 2014 catalog.  Sadly, this stamp set is no long available to order, but the digital stamp brush set is still available for My Digital Studio users and this card can easily be made into a hybrid card!

Here's the link if you would also like to play along on this sketch challenge!

Halloween Thinlits Card

Hi Stampers!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Today I have one more Halloween card to share with you.  It's another interactive card that I made with the new Thinlits dies.  Today I'm featuring the circle thinlit die.

Here you can the movable part of the card. Isn't that fun?  You can decorate both sides of the movable circle label.  I also did a little trick to add an extra panel on the card.  This allows you to have a larger card interior space to write on.

Here's a closer look at the way I decorated the other side of the circle panel.  The 2-1/2" circle punch is the perfect size to make a mat on this panel of the card.

Here's a peek at the card when it is fully open.  See how the extra panel gives you more room on the interior to write a message?

Halloween Bash Swap

Hi Stampers!

Halloween is just around the corner and I have a spooky card to share with you.  This card is one I made for a swap I participated in on Stampin' Connection - the exclusive Stampin' Up! demo online community.  It's just one of the many benefits of being a demonstrator!

My absolute favorite thing about the Halloween Bash stamp set is that it can be used with a whole bunch of punches!  The coordination makes designing your cards so so so easy!

Here is another version of the card that I made.  Instead of layering the Witch's Brew DSP on Basic Black card stock, on this card, I layered some of the Witch's Brewn Washi tape on it.

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Witch's Brew
Stamps: Halloween Bash
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Jet Black StazOn
Punches: Decorative Label, Scallop Oval, Large Oval
Big Shot: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits
Embellishments: Witch's Brew Washi Tape, Large Rhinestones, Orange Sharpie
