Petite Cards 1

Hi Stampers!

I have been very busy prepping all of the supplies for this weekend's Stamp a Stack.  I love Stamp a Stacks, and I know my customers do too.  You may not know what a Stamp a Stack is.  A Stamp A Stack, or SAS, is an afternoon where you pay a set fee and get to make a stack of cards.  I normally do 5 different designs and you get to make 2 of each design.  This will vary on the type of class and the level of detail on the cards.  For example, I do a 20 card SAS for Christmas because that is when we need lots of cards!  If I am doing cards that are very technique heavy or use lots of supplies, you may only have 4 designs.  Each SAS is different but I base them on themes....birthdays, holidays, all occasion, or in the case of this week: Brides and Babies.  Stamp a Stacks are good for stampers with some experience as you work independently at your own pace.  If you have taken 1-2 of my card making classes, you will be fine at a SAS!

Now on to today's cards.  I was playing around with the new Petite Curly Label punch and started making a cute little 3"x3" notecard set.  I really love this punch and the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper.  I think the color comination is so fantastic!  Today I have two of the note cards and on Friday I will post the last two.

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo
Designer Series Paper: Sycamore Street (SAB)
Stamps: Pretty Petites (SAB)
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfruit
Punches: Petite Curly Lable (SAB), Curly Label
Other: Basic Rhinestones

Reminder: March is just around the corner and that means that a brand new Best of Stamp set will be released.  Stay tuned!

Hearts A Flutter Class Day 2

Hi Stampers!

Happy Friday!  Do we all have big plans for the weekend?  Do they include stamping?  I sure hope so!

Today I have the final two cards from my Hearts A Flutter Class.  This is the last day of Valentine's projects, I promise!
For this first card, I got the general idea from the Create with Connie and Mary blog but changed it up a little bit to make it my own!

We did have one little snafu at the class.  When trying to adhere paper to the glitter side of the Glimmer paper, regular SNAIL adhesive will not work.  I pulled out my trusty bottle of Tombow glue and that worked like a charm.  We had to wait a few minutes for the glue to dry, but it was worth the wait!

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Primrose Petals, Silver Glimmer
Designer Series Paper: 2012-2014 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack
Stamps: Hearts A Flutter, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Primrose Petals
Big Shot: Hearts A Flutter Collection Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Punches: Small Heart
Embellishments: 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Primrose Petals
Finally, the last card to show you from this class is a card that was featured in the January issue of Stampin' Success.  This is a magazine that is exclusive for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  It's just one of the amazing benefits of being a demo!

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Primrose Petals, Pool Party, Pool Party Coredinations
Stamps: Hearts A Flutter, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Primrose Petals, Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, Basic Gray
Big Shot: Hearts A Flutter Collection Framelits, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Bitty Banner Framelits
Punches: 1/16" circle
Embellishments: 1/4" Pool Party satin ribbon (SAB), Linen Thread, Basic Rhinestones
Tools: Sanding Block

I hope you have enjoyed all of my Valentine creations.  To spread the love all year long, make sure you check out the Best of Love stamp set!  It's only $14.95 and it is super cute!!!  Click on the Best of 25 Years tab above for more information.

Hearts A Flutter Class Day 1

Hi Stampers!

Today I'm showing you two of the cards that we made in my recent Hearts A Flutter class.  This first card is based on one that I saw originally made by Jill Olsen, but I changed it up to make it a bit more me!  It was fun to make a card with a different type of fold.

Stampin' Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pool Party, Silver Glimmer
Designer Series Paper: More Amore
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter, Ciao Baby
Ink: Pool Party, Primrose Petals
Big Shot: Hearts a Flutter Collection Framelits
Other: Small Heart Punch, Petite Curly Label Punch (SAB)

This is the second card for today.  I saw a variation of this card on the Artfelt Impressions blog, but I really  wanted to change it up and make it a bit more masculine.  It's the same basic layout, but I changed up the paper/color choice and embellished the sentiment more.

Card interior and envelope:

Stampin' Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Midnight Muse
Designer Series Paper: Comfort Cafe
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter, P.S. I Love You (Really hoping this one gets carried over to the Annual Catalog!)
Ink: Midnight Muse, Basic Gray
Punches: Postage Stamp, Modern Label, Word Window
Other: 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Basic Gray

Hearts a Flutter Valentine

Hi Stampers!

I hope you all have a very nice Valentine's Day yesterday.  I did!  We went for some delicious Thai food at our favorite restaurant and the celebrating continues on Saturday when we go to the Maroon 5 concert at Madison Square Garden.  So excited!

Now on to today's card....

It's a simple layout, but it's very good for a mailable card.  The only problem I am having is trying to get the shimmer paint that I added to the card to show up in photos.  If you cannot see, just know that I mixed Champagne shimmer paint with rubbing alcohol in a spritzer and lightly sprayed the Crumb Cake piece (after the dry embossing).  It has a lovely, sparkly sheen.  Too bad it cannot be seen here! :-(

Here's the interior.  I love all of the different hearts that are available in this stamp set.  I really love layering them like this.

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Real Red, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Pool Party
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter, That's the Ticket, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Real Red, Pool Party
Punches: Ticket Duo
Big Shot: Hearts A Flutter Collection Framelits, Adorning Accents Embossing Folders

Don't let the love stop just because Valentine's Day is over!  Check out the "love"ly February promotions from Stampin' Up!.  Click on the Best of 25 Years tab above for info about the Best of Love stamp set. Hershey Kiss Heart

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a really cute little Valentine's gift that is super easy to make.  I originally found this idea on the Qbee's Quest blog and then my upline gave a demonstration on how to make these.  They are really  easy and you can make a bunch of them out of just one sheet of 12x12 cardstock.

I then wrapped each heart up in a cello bag and made a cute little tag for it.  Tie is up with some seam binding and you are done!

These would also make wonderful favors for bridal showers.  Use a cardstock color that coordinates with the wedding theme and then design and print out cute little tags using the MDS2 software!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Valentine Heart, My Little Valentine
Cardstock: Rose Red, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Rose Red, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Pink Pirouette
Other: Hearts Collection Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Small Oval Punch, Rose Red Seam Binding

Happy Hello Week 2

Hi Stampers!

I'm back with my second post featuring the Happy Hello Sale-A-Bration kit.  Today I'm showing you how you can use the cards to make fun 3D projects.  With just a few extras, you can really bump up the level of awesome on these projects!

The Happy Hello kit is one of the exclusive SAB offerings and will only be available until March 22nd.  Best of all, it is free with a $50 purchase!

The Happy Hello Kit includes the following:

4 cards w/ "hello!" sentiment
4 cards w/o sentiment
8 coordinating envelopes
Two sheets of adhesive embellishments
Basic Gray Bakers Twine
Basic Rhinestones

For today's project I also used the following:
Daffodil Delight Card Stock
Ornament Punch
1/16" Circle Punch
Simply Scored Tool

I used four ornament shapes to make a larger flower, then used the flower embellishment that comes with the kit as the center.

To make this little holder, I scored the card an inch on either side of the pre-scored line.  I also used a piece of cardboard (like what comes in the Specialty Designer Series Paper packaging or kits) as a support on the bottom.  Then I decorated and added some small punched holes at the top.  I bagged up a chocolate covered pretzel, wrapped the holder around the bag, and tied the baker's twine through.  Quick and easy!

Click here if you missed Monday's post, and stay tuned for a final project on Friday!
