I used my Stamp-a-majig to line up the leaf images in order to create the shadowed effect.

Card stock: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Starfruit,Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Sweater Weather

Lacy & Lovely Class II

Hi Stampers!

Today I have another card from my Lacy & Lovely class.  This card was inspired by one from Create with Connie and Mary.  It looks like a really simple card, but with some of the techniques used my customers were really wow'd!

For this card, we focused on collage stamping.  Collage stamping is super easy and super fun.  The best part is that you do not need a ton of layers or embellishments to make a beautiful card that you would be proud to give a loved one.  The Lacy & Lovely stamp set is a really great choice for collage stamping.  Just choose some of your favorite colors and get to it!

For a little added dimension, we used some of the paper piercing templates to add an oval shape around the stamping.  To make that adorable little bow, all we did was stick the ribbon in between the tines on of the brad and then attach the brad as you normally would.   I know, I know.....I used some retired ribbon here but the 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon would work well with this technique - plus it comes in some new colors like Pear Pizzazz!

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Crushed Curry
Ink: Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Gumball Green
Stamps: Lacy & Lovely
Embellishments: Basic Rhinestones, 1/8" Mini Brad, retired Calypso Coral ribbon
Tools: Paper Piercing Tool, Paper Piercing Mat, Occasions Paper Piercing Templates

Chicks with Paper Power Tools August Challenge

Hi Stampers!

I participate in a blogging group - Chicks with Paper Power Tools - and we have started to have monthly challenges.  This month the challenge was all about favorites!  You had to take one of your favorites - favorite color, favorite food, favorite people, etc. - and create a scrapbook layout based on that.  I chose to scrapbook my favorite band.  It was easy to create using My Digital Studio.  I added in a couple pictures take at the show, typed in the date, location, and the whole set list.  Then I printed it out on glossy photo paper and trim me it down to 8"x8" so that it can fit in my scrapbook album.  What a fun way to capture the memories of that day!

Big thanks to Dell for hosting this month's blog group challenge!  Hugs!!!

Lacy & Lovely Class I

Hi Stampers!

I hope you are all having a great week so far.  Today I'm sharing with you one of the samples from the Lacy & Lovely class I held a while back.  The Lacy & Lovely stamp set is a great set of elements that can be used as focal points or for collage stamping.  I just think the elements are so fun, and when you pair them up with the bright Quatrefancy Designer Series Paper you get a really bright, fun card!

This card layout is based on one that I saw on Mary Fish's blog, but I changed up the color scheme so that it can coordinate with the Quatrefancy paper.  That's why I love Stampin' Up!'s color coordination - it makes everything easy, easy, easy!

Here's the card with it's coordinating envelope.

Stampin' Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango
Designer Series Paper: Quatrefancy
Stamps: Lacy & Lovely
Ink: Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Tangerine Tango
Punches: 2-1/2" Circle, 1-3/4" Circle, 1" Circle
Other: Basic Pearls, Large Basic Pearls

Cycle Celebration!

Hi Stampers!

Have you seen the Cycle Celebration stamp set in the 2013-2014 Idea Book and Catalog?  I love this set.  It was on my first order from that catalog.  Here is a masculine birthday card that I created using that stamp set and the Birthday Basics  Designer Series Paper.  I love that the DSP coordinates with the stamp set.  It makes creating beautiful cards super easy!  You may notice that the sentiment in the stamp set is much longer than just Happy Birthday.  Using your Stampin' Write markers allows you to ink up the entire stamp, or just the parts that you want for your project.

I used the pewter embossing powder for the bicycle.  It's my favorite embossing powder out of all the colors Stampin' Up! carries.  It's super versatile!  I then added two Bermuda Bay candy dots to the centers of the wheels to give some added diminution.

Stampin' Supplies:
Card stock: Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Birthday Basics
Stamps: Cycle Celebration
Ink: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Versamark
Other: Finishing Touches Edgelits, Sponge Dauber, Pewter Embossing Powder, Brights Candy Dots, Heat Tool, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

May Paper Pumpkin Part 2

Hi Stampers!

This is the second installment of my May My Paper Pumpkin kit posting.  If you want to see the first part of this project, click HERE.

This kit is for a brag book that was part of my My Paper Pumpkin kit of the month club.  I love the bright geometric papers, and I thought they would be great to capture some highlights of my honeymoon to Hawaii.

This is the fourth page layout from the album.  The "Love This" stamp is also included in the kit.  I love the arrow shaped paper clip as a fun accent.

This is the fifth page layout.  Here I added in some Basic Black card stock, and used stamps from the Designer Typeset Photopolymer stamp set and Sent with Love (retired).

This is the sixth page layout.  Here I used some more Basic Black card stock added in.  I also took some of the scraps of the patterned paper included with the kit to create little banner flags to accent the lizard photo.

Finally, we have the back cover.  I kept it simple, but included the ticket sticker and put the date of our wedding on the ticket.  And what Hawaii album would be complete without a photo of a gorgeous orchid?  Cute, right?

If you are interesting in signing up for  My Paper Pumpkin subscription, you can join at a discounted rate!  Sign up before August 31st, using the coupon code PUMPKINDEAL and you will get your first two months at $10 per month.  After the first two months, the subscription price is $19.95, including shipping.
