Chalk Talk Birthday

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a card that I made using the Chalk Talk stamp set.  This set is a lot of fun to stamp with because all of the images look like they were drawn with chalk on a black board.  For this card I went with a color combo featuring lots of neutrals with Pool Party.

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Smoky Slate, Pool Party Coredinations
Designer Series Paper: Subtles Paper Stack
Stamps: Chalk Talk
Ink: Jet Black Staz On
Big Shot: Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Circles Collection Framelits, Chalk Talk Framlits

By The Tide Class II

Hi Stampers!

I'm back with another card from the By The Tide class I held.  This is another card that I cased from the Create with Connie and Mary blog.  This is a great masculine card to give a special guy!

You can stamp the three focal images on Crumb Cake card stock and then frame the images within the the square punch.  The script stamp is also included in the stamp set.  It makes a great accent to your card.

I stamped the fish on the card interior too!

Of course, I stamped the fish on the envelope as well.

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla (Interior), Chocolate Chip
Stamps: By the Tide, Just for You (retired)
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Punches: 1" Circle, 1" Square
Big Shot: Adorning Accents Edgelits, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

This is one of the cards that we made at my By The Tide class.  I cased this card from the Create with Connie and Mary blog.  I love how this lobster looks when embossed with the Tangerine Tango Stampin' Emboss powder.

Here's a close up of the embossed lobster.  Look at how detailed these stamps are!

I couldn't resist...the card interior needed a lobsty as well!

Okay....I needed a lobster on the envelope too.  I couldn't help it!  He's so cute!

June My Paper Pumpkin

Hi Stampers!

Well I am certainly waaaaay behind on my My Paper Pumpkin kit posts!  Today I'm sharing with you the cards I made with the June Kit.  This kit was all about hexagons.  Isn't it adorable?  I love the little windows cut in the card stock.  The best part is that everything is already cut and ready for you to put together.  My Paper Pumpkin is an easy way to get a little crafting into your busy schedule.

This card is the one featured in the kit instructions.

For the next card, I changed the sentiment.  Recognize it?  That's the one that came with your Paper Pumpkin Welcome Kit!  Also, I put some of the hexagon sticker on the inside of the card so that they can be seen through the cut outs.  Just another fun idea to change up the project.

For this card, I simply changed the orientation from landscape to portrait.  To change up the sentiment, all you have to do is just apply ink to the "HELLO" part of the stamp.  This is easy to do with the Stampin' Spot included in the kit.  Keep a baby wipe on hand to wipe off any excess ink that might occur from over-zealous inking of your stamp.  Hey, it happens.

And finally, this card is my hexagon explosion!  I feel like I just kept adding and adding and adding hexagons to this one.  I love how it turned out.  In fact, you could cover the entire cardfront in hexagons and make it look like a quilt!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the cards I made with the June 2013 My Paper Pumpkin kit.  If you would like to start getting Paper Pumpkins delivered right to your door step, click on THIS link to readd more about it and sign up!

Lacy & Lovely Class III

Hi Stampers!

I know that I have been very behind on my blogging.  My husband and I sold the condo we are currently living in and are actively looking for a house!  While these are exciting times, and I most likely will end up with a larger craft room, it has caused me to put a hold on certain things.  One of them, sadly, is my blog.  I really want to try to stay consistent with posts, but sometimes life just gets in the way.  I will try my best!  I certainly have tons of projects ready to share...

Speaking of sharing....

Today I am sharing another card from the  Lacy & Lovely class I held a while back.  This is another card that was inspired by Create with Connie and Mary.  It looks like a really simple layout but there are some special added details that makes this card not so ordinary.

One of my favorite features of the Lacy & Lovely stamp set is that you can coordinate it with many of the SU punches.  Here I have punched out the Real Red stamped flower and then matted it on a scallop circle.  The Pool Party image in the back is highlighted by a little paper piercing around the image.  Finally, I embellished the card with a Pool Party button and some Basic Rhinestones.

Stampin' Supplies:

Stamps: Lacy & Lovely
Ink: Pool Party, Real Red
Card stock: Whisper White, Pool Party, Real Red
Accessories: 1” Circle Punch, 1 1⁄4” Scallop Circle Punch, Pool Party button, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals
