Hello Honey In Color Sample Card

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a fun card to share with you!  Every year when the new In Colors are released, I run an In Color Club for my customers.  One of the perks of being in In Color Club is that I create a hand stamped card, featuring that month's color, and include it with their In Color stamping supplies.  It's my little thank you to my customers and I always hope that they gain inspiration from my cards.

For July the color was Hello Honey.  I always have mixed feelings about yellows.  I had the same reaction two years ago when we had Summer Starfruit as an In Color. My gut reaction is "how am I going to use this color?"  Then I start to pair it up with other colors and stamps and I really start to see how beautiful the color can be!  After two years of becoming more and more obsessed with Summer Starfruit, it was retired and I was so sad.  Now I'm having the same feelings about Hello Honey!  I'm slowly but surely warming up to this warm, golden shade of yellow that looks amazing paired with purples and greens.

Here is the card that I made for my customers.

I love how the Whisper White ribbon really pops against the Hello Honey background.

Aren't coordinating stamps and punches a wonderful thing?  It's so easy to get a perfect cut out of the stamped sentiment!  I also love how the embossed arrows are pointing in the same direction as the diagonal lines in the paper.  They coordinate but are not "matchy-matchy".

I made a ton of these cards!  I used different pieces of paper from the Moonlight paper stack.  It's one of my favorite products from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog!  It was fun picking a paper pattern and then choosing a coordinating embossing folder.  Other embossing folders I used were the Honeycomb and the Decorative Dots folders.  Here are the first three:

And three more!

June 2014 In Color Club Sample - Blackberry Bliss

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a card to share with you that was the sample that I included with the June In Color Club packets.  As soon as I had seen the Flower Patch stamp set in the new Stampin' Up! catalog that I had to have it with the matching framelits.  Oh I love this set so much!  I have seen some amazing cards created with this set and it's one of the sets on my list to create a class around!

So here's the card I created for my customers!  It's super simple and mailable but I love how the fussy cutting makes it look like you spent forever creating the card!

To get the different shades of Blackberry Bliss all I did was stamp off my stamp after inking it.  That way you have the same color but less saturation when you stamp on your cardstock.  This set is a photopolymer set which means perfect stamp placement because they are see through!  Yaaaaayyyy!!!

Crisp Cantaloupe In Color Club Sample

Hi Stampers!

Today is my last post for the 2013-2015 In Color Club!  So sad that it's over, but excited that in just a few days I'll be starting the 2014-2016 In Color Club!  In Color Club is my product share program.  It's an affordable way to get a little bit of each type of product in every In Color for the year.  You get an assortment of cardstock, ink, and embellishments, plus as a thank you, I include a sample using that month's color with your package.  It's a lot of fun!

The final sample is showcasing Crisp Cantaoupe.  It's such a bright, fun, peachy color!  I love the In Color Ruffle stretch trim.  It's so much fun for creating frilly, pretty borders on panels.  Too bad it's been retired - but fear not - you will be getting some brand new 2013-2014 In Color embellishments to make up for it!  :-)

2014-2015 In Color Sneak Peek!

Hi Stampers!!!

Today I have a quick and easy card featuring some new goodies from Stampin' Up!  I hope you will check out the embellishments on this card! :-)  The new In Colors!  They are so bright and yet have an earthy feel to them.  And I LOVE this ribbon!!!  Just wait, this ribbon will be on a lot of projects!

I used some of the brand new adhesive to attach the ribbon to the card.  It's super tacky and strong.  Just like sticky strip without those annoying red tape backs that go everywhere.

Sneak Peek Items available June 2nd!
3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, and Blackberry Bliss

Love Anniversary Card

Hi Stampers!

I'm back!  I'm going to try to be a good blogger.  I hope I can.  It's been a very busy couple months and with the non-stop snow and craziness at work I just haven't had the time or motivation to post.  This weather just puts me in such a grumpy mood all of the time.  I'm counting down the days until spring!
Today I have an anniversary card to share with you.  This card was cased from one that I saw in an issue of Stampin' Success magazine.  That's the SU demonstrator exclusive magazine which is chock full of ideas and inspiration for paper crafting.  I love it!

I sent this one to my cousins for their wedding anniversary.  I know she LOVES Pool Party, so I had to include that color on the card!

I was a little worried about putting the In Color Boutique Details embellishment though the mail, but my cousin reported that the card arrived in good condition!  Yay Postal Service!!!

Pistachio Pudding In Color Club Sample

Hi Stampers!

Today I'm sharing my sample that I gave to all of my In Color Club members for the month of Pistachio Pudding!  I originally got the idea to create this adorable little tree from the Stamping Rox blog and added it on to my own card design.  Creating this tree is sooooo easy!  All you need is the Petite Pennants punch and some of the In Color Ruffle Stretch Ribbon!  I used the Word Window punch for the trunk, but you can easily cut a piece of cardstock for this without the punch.  (The punch just makes it easier!)  After punching out the tree, I cut three lengths of ribbon, wrapped them around the triangle, secured with glue dots and that was it!  Sooooooo simple but soooooo cute!

Here's a close up of the tree.  I used Dimensionals to adhere it to the card so give it even more dimension.  It adds a lot of great texture to an otherwise simple card.  I love Pistachio Pudding for holiday cards.  It's such a nice, soft green.  So pretty!
