By the Tide Watercolor Card

Hi Stampers!

It's summertime, so how about a beachy card?  Today I have a card for you made with the By the Tide stamp set.  This set is really great for making all kinds of cards.  I made a background paper by inking an acrylic block with three different ink pads. Then I spritz it with some water and stamped the block on some watercolor paper.  It made a cool watery looking background.  Then I stamped and embossed the images in gold.

I layered the stamped image over a scrap of the burlap ribbon that was sitting on my desk. I frayed the ends a bit for some added texture.

I hope you liked my beach inspired card.  Where is your favorite beach?  Let me know in the comments!

Coastal Cabana In Color Sample

Hi Stampers!

It's the day before Thanksgiving and all of New Jersey is a stormy mess!  This storm is just a drop in the bucket compared to those fickle ladies who have stormed the state over the last few years.  I can guarantee you that the weather is not going to stop all of us from getting ready for Turkey Day!  I know that I have an evening of cupcake baking ahead of me when I get home from work. :-)

I wish that I had had the time to make a special Thanksgiving project for today's post, but due to the move I am just finally settling in to my craft room and have really been focusing on those projects for the next big holiday.

So instead of turkey, I bring you fish!  :-)

This was the card sample that I had included with my Coastal Cabana In Color Club packet.  Every year, beginning in June, I run an In Color Club.  Each month, for 5 months, those who join In Color Club get a packet of ink, cardstock, and embellishments all in one of the new In Colors.  It's an affordable way to build your stamping stash and collect all of the new colors released every June.  Each packet also includes a card sample showcasing that month's color.

I used the By The Tide stamp set for this sample.  You can't really see it in the picture, but for the coral, I first stamped it in Coastal Cabana.  Then, using my Stampamajig, I stamped over the coral again in Versamark ink and heat embossed with the Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I love the Iridescent Ice embossing powder because it adds sparkle without the mess of glitter.

By The Tide Class IV

Hi Stampers!

Today I have one last card from the By The Tide class to share with you.  This card was also cased from Create with Connie and Mary but I changed up the color scheme to feature some of the new In Colors.  I think Sahara Sand, Coastal Cabana, and Pistachio Pudding is a very beachy color combo.

Here is a close up of the focal image.  The Vintage Faceted Button was given a little more glitz by adding a Basic Rhinestone to the center.

I love how delicate the coral image in this set is.  It's the perfect accent to decorate the interior of the card.

Here's the card with its coordinating envelope.

Stampin' Supplies:

By The Tide Class III

Hi Stampers,

Today I have the third card from my By The Tide Class to share with you.  This is another card that I saw on Create with Connie and Mary.  I love the window technique on this card.  You can make windows on your card so easily by using your Framelits.

The slightly different shades of the seashells was done by inking up the stamp once and staming it on the cardstock two times.

I decorated the interior by adding in a bunch of friendly seahorses!

I also used the seahorses to decorate the envelope.  Don't you love it when everything matches???

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Old Olive, Canjun Craze, Whisper White
Stamps: By The Tide
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse
Big Shot: Ovals Collection Framelits
Other: Early Espresso 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Naturals Designer Buttons, Early Espresso Bakers Twine

By The Tide Class II

Hi Stampers!

I'm back with another card from the By The Tide class I held.  This is another card that I cased from the Create with Connie and Mary blog.  This is a great masculine card to give a special guy!

You can stamp the three focal images on Crumb Cake card stock and then frame the images within the the square punch.  The script stamp is also included in the stamp set.  It makes a great accent to your card.

I stamped the fish on the card interior too!

Of course, I stamped the fish on the envelope as well.

Stamps: By the Tide, Just for You (retired)
